Bookkeeper/Admin – Accounting Practice

Join our successful accounting practice, which is fun, growing, and dynamic. We provide bookkeeping, financial accounting, and reporting services across a diverse client base. The role is busy and requires dedication and commitment and from that more opportunities can arise.
The ideal candidate would demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, time management, and customer service skills, which will be key to client relationships and meeting time-critical deadlines:
. A Cert IV in Accounting would be preferred but not essential;
· Previous experience in a small business Accounting practice environment is desirable but not essential;
· Experience using accounting software desirable;
· Great time management and organisational skills;
· Excellent interpersonal skills to suit a professional office;
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written;
· Strong attention to detail
ROLE:
The role is best suited for a motivated individual who is a self starter and is capable of working with limited supervision and can hit the ground running.
Salary will be negotiated based on experience.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Bookkeeping; assisting accountants on files with coding of income and expenditure using XERO, MYOB, Quicken
– Logging into the ATO portal and ASIC to assist clients and accountants with queries
– BAS preparation including data entry may be required
– Payroll and superannuation processing may be required
– Handling of Trust Account, invoicing, and receipts
– Reception and General Office duties; managing diaries for staff members, general running of the office to ensure all staff have everything they need to get their job done, stationery orders, handling of mail, etc
– Researching and drafting of client advice letters as required
– Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills
