Abcoe is a leading retailer of Bulk Food supplies, Cleaning & Washroom supplies, Packaging supplies, Canteen & Lunchroom supplies and Party supplies. Our main warehouse is located in South Penrith, and we deliver throughout the Sydney Metropolitan area.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Freezer & Retail Assistant to join our team.         If you are someone who thrives in a physically active role, don’t mind working in a cold environment and are eager to grow within a thriving company, we want to hear from you!

Position:  Freezer & Retail Assistant – Food & Clearance Store

Location:  Penrith

Job Type: Full-time. Weekday and weekend availability required.

Opening hours are Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm, Saturday 8am – 4pm & Sunday 10am – 2pm.

 

Key responsibilities:

o   Fill and maintain our retail freezers to ensure they are fully stocked to maximise sales

o   Assist in the preparation of frozen stock transfers to our other retail outlets

o   Pre-packing bulk frozen items into smaller retail packs

o   Safely and efficiently manage inventory in the freezer

o   Mark off and unload stock deliveries including pallets of dry and frozen stock

o   Operate a POS system, scan items and account for payment accurately

o   Provide a high level of Customer Service in a friendly and professional manner

o   Provide product information, answer queries, offer recommendations and process sales to enhance the customer shopping experience

o   Maintain a neat and organised store appearance by restocking shelves, arranging merchandise and ensuring cleanliness

o   Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stock discrepancies

 

What we are looking for:

o   A physically fit, strong person who is capable of lifting and moving heavy stock which includes loading and unloading pallets of dry, chilled & frozen stock weighing up to 20kg’s

o   Previous experience in a Retail environment and basic computer knowledge & experience is essential

o   A customer orientated team member with a positive attitude

o   A quick learner who shows initiative, attention to detail, can multitask & follow procedures correctly

o   Proven attendance, reliability and commitment is a must.
